Dr. Okundaye, or Dr. “O” as he is known by many students and colleagues, is actively involved in social welfare and public health research in the United States and Nigeria. His experience spans large scale research projects such as the State of Maryland Subsidized Guardianship Project and the MoMENTS Study with the Institute of Human Virology-Nigeria (IHV-N).
Dr. O has more than 30 years of experience in Qualitative Research in various studies related to Drug Abuse, Child Welfare, HIV-AIDS, PTSD, Caregiving and Spirituality. He has mentored more than 12 doctoral students in the second largest School of Social Work in the United States and has been affiliated with academic institutions such as the Johns Hopkins University, Catholic University of America and the University of Maryland College Park. Dr. O actively provides training and consulting services for the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), Maryland Chapter.
Dr. Okundaye’s research and practice activities focus on cultural, clinical, spiritual, social, biological and behavioral issues that impact people at the individual, family, community levels.
Whitney specializes in grief & loss, childhood and adult trauma, conflictual relationships, identifying stress, and race based trauma. She is exceptionally skilled in guiding clients as they compartmentalize their goals using a strength based perspective. When she is not seeing clients, Whitney enjoys yoga and meditation, which is symbolic of her therapeutic style. She strives to approach each client with warmth and transparency.
She currently practices in the state of Maryland, focusing on working with children, adolescents, veterans, couples and families, helping them navigate life’s challenges in a manner that promotes healing and growth. Robyn’s desire is to create a safe, non judgemental environment for her clients to process, identify, and manage the obstacles of life, all while feeling seen and supported. She is committed to assisting her clients with building confidence, breaking negative cycles and discovering their inner self. She looks forward to starting this journey with you.
Angel strives to maximize the development of human potential and the fulfillment of human needs with each of her clients. Fun fact about Angel: she is a lover of dogs, specifically large and extra large pups!
In addition to his therapeutic knowledge, Maurice comes to us with experience in facilitating one-on-one coaching sessions with a focus of accomplishing financial, educational and employment goals. Maurice is currently accepting new clients and is looking forward to growing with you!
With an emphasis on positive reframing and transparency, Ms. Scott helps her clients learn to identify, process and manage their thoughts and feelings in ways that are applicable to their everyday lives. Ms. Scott offers individual, couples and family therapy and is accepting new clients at this time. She looks forward to beginning this journey with you.
